Will ISIS Attack Russia Next? Majority of Russians Believe That

The majority of Russians believe that the Islamic State (ISIS) will carry out terrorist attacks in Russia within a year, according to a survey conducted by the Levada Center independent pollster.
As many as 65 percent of Russians are terrified by the Islamic terrorist organization and say that Russia might be the next target.
At the same time, 55 percent of Russians approve of Russian airstrikes in Syria. People think that by attacking ISIS in Syria, the Russian government is trying to prevent the threat of terrorism and Islamic extremism spreading into Russia.
Last week, ISIS carried out a series of terrorist attacks in Paris, killing 130 people and injuring close to 400. Following the violent terrorist acts, French authorities declared a state of emergency in the country.
